4 years...

I spent four years trying to find a way out of Don Bosco, now I'm clamoring to try and find a way back in.
The past four years have been probably the best of my life (bar the last 3 months). I made some of by best friends and now looking two months into the future, knowing that I'm probably only going to see them through the magic of skype, I know I'm going to miss all of them. A lot.
So this is a blog entry dedicated to all of you guys, my friends, who have been there for me whenever I needed you! Keep kicking ass wherever you are in the world, and stay awesome!

of rain and college

its November....and there is nothing better than sitting at your window sill staring out into the unknown and wondering why the hell its raining in November. Maybe we should have listened to Gore when he said the world was warming up...maybe Copenhagen should have come up with some more concrete answers but whatever is happening in the world weather system, know this, it is freaky...and i don't like it.

Another thing I don't particularly like is that college is ending. I dunno but that place seems to have grown onto me. Darshan yesterday for me was last resort. Today it's a hot meal (i still will NEVER touch the lung fung soup). What was a crazy Shawn Michaels back flip for me yesterday is a broken left hand for me today. What was Annas toxic canteen food for me yesterday is....still Annas toxic canteen food (there are some things which never change eh?)

I wish i had something more interesting to blog about..but today there isn't..but i promise all of my 5 followers...I will update this space regularly. promise lol! till we meet again...

WORLD CUP (waka waka)

Your song is just not getting out of my waka waka....wait thats not right....its not getting out of my HEAD!!!
Another thing which doesnt seem to get out of my head is that faint buzz...If you can hear it, you most probably are suffering from vuvuzelaitis. Vuvuzelaitis is a rare hearing disorder which is caused due to over exposure to the god forsaken dumb ass horn which 60000 people in each and every stadium in South Africa decide to blow in unison during a match. I wouldnt care if the damn horn had some musical value but NO....i had to be vuvuzela-ized.
Yesterday I was having a conversation with one of my friends who told me that she was supporting Portugal. I was quite impressed. I mean I dont know much about the Portugese style of football but it was a breath of fresh air from the usual "oooooh i support brazil because kaka is hot" and then i heard the reason why Portugal is her dream team...."i have a crush on Ronaldo"
Wow! Here i thought that she came up with some killer reasons why Portugal would get lucky in 2010 and all i get is a "i have a crush on Ronaldo"!
On another note Robert Green has proved he is worthy of being an Arsenal goalkeeper. His antics against USA have convinced Mr. Arsene Wenger that he is the man to solve all of Arsenals goal keeping woes. I kind of feel sad for the guy but the error he made was schoolboyish...Even a 5 year old knows that while keeping get your effing body BEHIND the ball....anyways i dont know why im so pissed off...I have Dempsey on my fantasy football team :-P

more themes for windows 7 users

Ok iv been away for a while so im really sorry to all of my zero followers...anyways was browsing around for a bit and i uncovered a killer way to unlock 5 windows 7 themes each one more spectacular than the other.... here are the steps to do it:

1. go to C:\Windows\winsxs
2. search for .theme in the search bar
3. you should uncover 5 themes based on australia, canada, south africa, america and england
4. double click on each of them and
5. voila you have 5 new themes!!!

Alas! the last of the long weekends is behind us...Now we all must look forward to hot and muggy 5-days-a-week college....oh the frustration! 

So these weekends of mini bliss went by without any major event occurring...until yesterday!! So I went for Inglorious Basterds (why is it spelt like that?) yesterday with my cousin and his friends. After much unnecessary arguing (which resulted in us missing a show) we finally decided to watch the movie at PVR Juhu. The tickets were steep....300 bucks! I began to hate the movie before it even began! We make our way up and keeping my pre movie tradition in mind I immediately stand in line for a tub of salted popcorn and a large pepsi. On purchasing them I made my way to my seat happily munching on the fresh popcorn....yummmmmm! But then something happened which snapped me out of my moment of rapture! (please imagine some highly dramatic music playing in the background now) I take a sip of my pepsi and believe it or not they gave me coke! No I'm just joking...Rewind a bit.... I take a sip of my pepsi and believe it or not I tasted putrid water fizz...No No not soda...but water with a slight fizz....DISGUSTING! I didn't pay 40 bucks for WATER FIZZ!!!! So I marched out (despite the "tsk" and "what yaaars" emanating from my fellow movie buffs) and demanded a new drink from the manager....which i got without much of a fuss (surprisingly)...SO LET THIS BE A LESSON TO YOU ALL....CHECK YOUR PEPSI!

a very very bad day

Saturday, a day when I usually wake up at 11, started for me at 7 in the morning. When college beckons, we the students must answer. So i woke up, grudgingly but with some surprising amount of anticipation. "Today is going to be a good day," I told myself. But it wasn't. Man City v/s Arsenal in the evening and Sri Lanka v/s India were the two events I most looked forward to. Both events ended up being disappointing. India humiliated. Adebayor scoring for City and Arsenal losing. I cant wait to get to bed.  I guess I just had a bad day.

On the bright side Sutil starts second tomo....go FORCE INDIA!

EVS...a waste of time?

So i just found out that i have an EVS test tomorrow. I find it amusing that third year students are forced to study a subject which frankly we have been studying since the eighth grade. Would I call it irrelevant? No. EVS is required but not every two years in my education. I've had it upto my neck with noise, air and soil pollution. Occasionally we do get some pearls of wisdom from our 'highly qualified' EVS profs. For example,
1." Stop using the internet...the number of 'stations' required to make the internet run 'eat' up energy and hence global warming occurs"
Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! stop using the internet?! I'm studying in IT engineering! Telling me to stop using the internet is like telling a socialite to stay away from night clubs! ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
2."Global warming is when the earth becomes hot"
Damn! my prof deserves a NOBEL prize! Did anyone NOT get that? jeez! My cousin who is in the 2nd grade would probably have got that.

On the bright side we got to watch An Inconvenient Truth...nice movie...fell asleep 1 hr in. No fault of the movie though...I was just tired. lol!

Look my only problem with EVS is we have to write a stupid 75 mark paper at the end of the semester. Dont you see the irony? I have to write a 75 mark 'PAPER.' 'PAPER' produced after 4 trees were cut. 4 trees which could...sorry...would have made a difference to the environment....
